This is a day of silence, light, and remembrance for parents who have experienced irreparable loss.
What is this day?
"Children's Angel Remembrance Day" is a special date created by the Iskorka Charitable Foundation (Chelyabinsk). It is a day of silence, light, and remembrance for parents who have experienced irreparable loss. The goal of the event is to provide space for grief, unite families in similar situations, and support each other in moments of remembrance of their most precious loved ones—their departed children.
Why is this important?
The loss of a child is a grief that has no statute of limitations. "Remembrance Day" gives parents the opportunity to:
- Publicly honor the memory of their children.
- Find understanding and support among those who have gone through similar experiences.
- See that they are not alone in their pain.
- Create a ritual of remembrance that helps them move on.
Participation of the Buran Charitable Foundation in 2025
In May 2025, the Buran Charitable Foundation joined this important and touching initiative of the Iskorka Foundation for the first time. Understanding the profound significance of this day for parents, we donated hydrangea seedlings to the event participants.
- Symbol of Remembrance: The hydrangea was not chosen by chance. Its lush inflorescences, tenderness, and ability to bloom for many years have become a living symbol of eternal love and the fond memory of the children who have passed away.
- Living Monument: Parents were able to take each seedling home with them to plant in their garden, near their home, or in another significant place. This plant will become their personal, living monument, a place of quiet communication and memories, which will grow and bloom year after year.
For the Buran Charitable Foundation, participation in the "Day of Remembrance for Children-Angels" is not just an event, but a profound expression of empathy and solidarity with the parents who have endured the most difficult times. We sincerely thank the Iskorka Foundation for their trust and the opportunity to make our modest contribution to creating a space of remembrance and support on this special day.
